The new Promise VTrak for Mac includes many new features that have been specifically designed for the Apple user, including 1TB drive support, Bonjour support, and a new aluminum look.

Apple Xsan 2 and Final Cut Studio 2 Qualified :

Data Center Performance :

In data center environments multiple users require fast access to storage and the VTrak E-Class delivers the performance these users demand. With the ability to serve multiple host computers simultaneously, a single VTrak E-Class RAID can deliver over 1400MB/sec of proven read performance and 600MB/sec of write performance. When used with Xsan, the combined solution rivals the performance of much higher priced solutions. Users can further improve performance by scaling volumes across several VTrak units which can simultaneously boost overall performance over the SAN.


Scalability :

Scaling storage is made easy by connecting Promise VTrak E-Class JBODs to the SAS expansion ports on the RAID subsystem. Each RAID controller supports SAS expansion so that path redundancy to the JBODs can be maintained with multiple controllers. By adding JBOD units a single RAID unit can support up to 80 SAS or SATA disk drives.

World Class Support :

Promise offers the storage industry's best phone and email support along with a 3-Year advance replacement warranty. This provides VTrak users uninterrupted productivity for the life of the product.

Promise and Apple support organizations work together to ensure the fastest possible solution to customer problems.
